Lebanon recorded an increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus, recording 27 new cases on Wednesday including 11 Lebanese expats, without new deaths.
The Health Ministry said the total reached 575 cases including eleven expats flown into Lebanon from Madrid and Paris a day earlier.
Out of 108 Lebanese expats on a plane coming from Madrid, seven passengers tested positive for coronavirus.
Four other passengers on a plane that landed at Beirut airport coming from Paris have also tested positive for COVID-19, it added.
Accordingly, positive cases will be taken to the hospital successively, with emphasis on strict implementation of home quarantine for individuals who tested negative, added the ministry.
