Hassan From Zahle: Results Are Good Today, And We Are Proceeding According To The Plan Developed With Great Care So That Our Efforts Are Not Lost

Public Health Minister, Hamad Hassan, disclosed Saturday that the test results are good today, noting that out of 1050 examinations conducted, only 5 came out positive.

“We are proceeding according to the plan that was very carefully developed, provided that there is no excessive optimism, because we are committed to quarantine and the general mobilization decisions,” Hassan asserted.

His words came during the opening of the Corona Laboratory, sponsored by MP Michel Daher, and the Corona Department which was provided by the administration of President Elias Hrawi Governmental Hospital in Zahle, and a group of donors.

Hassan congratulated the Hospital administration on its relations with the benevolent sides without discrimination or classification and without barriers.

“Today we are facing a pandemic and a national dilemma, par excellence. The results today are good, and we are proceeding according to the plan, very carefully…We know the seriousness of the issue, and many countries began general mobilization and easing restrictions quickly, and have returned to square one…We do not want our efforts to be lost after these strict measures,” Hassan underscored.

He indicated that in the upcoming period, the number of tests will be increased to 1500 daily examinations as of next week.

As for the grants and supplies that have started to arrive to Lebanon, Hassan stated that the Ministry of Health is publishing on its website details about these grants and how they are being distributed fairly without discrimination.

“During the next phase, severe controls will be imposed to get out of the dark tunnel. If we maintain the status quo, people will blame us…but we will continue for the sake of people’s health and life,” vowed Hassan.
