Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, on Monday welcomed a delegation representing the Federation of Syndicates of Bank Employees in Lebanon headed by George Al-Hajj, who said after the meeting that the visit aimed at thanking Minister Abdel Samad for the relentless efforts she had exerted during her assumption of her duties at the Ministry of Information.
“If the government had continued its regular duties, many projects that fall in the country’s best interest would have been completed by Minister Abdel Samad,” Al-Hajj said.
Moreover, the meeting reportedly focused on the continuous delay in forming a new government, as well as on its negative repercussions on the social and economic levels.
“The banking sector represents the most important financial sector in the country, yet this sector can no longer tolerate political bickering because it negatively affects the financial and economic activities in Lebanon,” Al-Hajj said.
