Ministry Of Information To Launch Training Courses For Media Professionals As Part Of Joint Plan With UNESCO

Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, on Monday held a meeting in her office at the Ministry with Press Syndicate Head, Aouni al-Kaaki, and Editors’ Syndicate Dean Joseph al-Kosseifi, in the presence of National Audiovisual Council Chairman Abdel Hadi Mahfouz.

The meeting identified the segments of frontline media professionals that should be given priority in obtaining the Coronavirus vaccine, given the nature of their work that constantly exposes them to the risks of infection.

During the meeting, the Minister of Information touched on the concerns endured by the media sector in light of the Coronavirus pandemic that affected about 100 Lebanese media professionals, and discussed means to overcome obstacles imposed by the pandemic.
