Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel-Samad Najd, on Monday held a meeting with Tele Liban’s archives director, Othman Majzoub, and other concerned members.
The meeting highlighted the importance of respecting the intellectual property law that preserves the rights of creators and encourages innovation.
“Tele Liban’s archive is subject to the intellectual property law; therefore, the official TV station’s archives should not be used by private media except under the conditions of the intellectual property law,” the meeting stressed.
Moreover, the meeting had been an occasion to agree over a series of preventive measures, through which Télé Liban archives will be preserved, and their use by private media will be prevented without a legal justification.
