Caretaker Minister of Information, Manal Abdel Samad, on Tuesday partook in a session that the House Committee of Administration and Justice devoted to discussing the new media law.
During the session, Abdel Samad made remarks on several amendments made to the original blueprint, especially in terms of the freedom of speech.
“This bill is the fruit of accumulated efforts,” she said following the session, recalling the first draft made in 2021.
She added that conferees had agreed over several points, including the preparation of a detailed law for “Liban Media,” a digital platform proposed by the Ministry of Information.
