Information Minister, Ziad al-Makary, on Wednesday toured Tele Liban building in Beirut in the company of its director, Vivian Lebbos.
The Minister inspected the workflow in the state-run TV station’s departments and got a briefing on the status of media professionals and technicians working for Tele Liban.
“What we are striving for today as we stand at the doors of the parliamentary elections, which will be held on May 15, is the adoption of a media code of honor that contributes to alleviating tensions during the electoral period,” Al-Makary said.
Regarding the cabinet session that will be held today at the Grand Serail, the Information Minister said that many items had been referred to the House of Parliament.
“With regard to the electricity plan, the Minister of Energy has been asked to prepare a new study to present within a period of one month,” he added.
Al-Makary also pointed out that “the main obstacle hindering the achievement of some administrative tasks is the lack of funds.”
