Lebanese Ministry of Information
Caretaker Minister of Information Ziad Al-Makary, on Tuesday visited the Lebanese Army Orientation Directorate, whereby he was received by the Director of Orientation, Brigadier General Ali Qanso, and the Directorate’s senior officers.
Caretaker Minister Al-Makary listened to a briefing on the tasks carried out by the Directorate, especially in light of the technical and technological development witnessed in the past few years, especially those related to modern applications, psychological operations, and the press and public relations department.
Afterwards, Al-Makary toured the various departments of the Directorate, having a closer look at its equipment and workflow and how the Directoarte keeps pace with the activities of the army deployed on all Lebanese territories.
The Minister commended the development witnessed in the directorate, stressing the “importance of strengthening cooperation between the army, the Ministry of Information, Television of Lebanon (TL), the National News Agency (NNA) and Radio Lebanon.”
Al-Makary underlined that the army media experience constitutes a role model in media work in terms of accuracy, objectivity and speed.
