Information Minister, Paul Morcos, on Wednesday received a delegation from the Free Patriotic Movement, including MPs Nicolas Sehnaoui and Jimmy Jabbour, vice president for political affairs Martine Najm Kteily and media coordinator Michel Abou Najm.
Speaking after the meeting, Kteily said discussions focused on the “Protecting Lebanon” proposal, particularly a code of conduct linked to the media sector amid rising incitement, sectarian tension and accusations circulating in public discourse and on social media.
She said both sides agreed on the need to safeguard national unity and prevent strife, stressing the importance of more responsible public discourse. Kteily added that Morcos expressed commitment to promoting calmer and more disciplined media rhetoric.

Morcos later met Kuwaiti Ambassador Mohammad Sultan Al-Sharji to discuss regional developments and bilateral media ties.
