President of the Lebanese Republic, Joseph Aoun, congratulated the Lebanese people, both residents and expatriates, on the centenary of the proclamation of the Lebanese Constitution and the Lebanese Republic (May 23, 1926), which falls today.
He stated: “In this year, which we have declared the Year of the Constitution, we revive the meanings of Lebanon’s message and identity, and the values of democracy and human rights in a nation distinguished by diversity and creativity. We reaffirm our call to organize intellectual activities to renew the constitutional spirit, deepen national awareness, and establish modernity as an approach in laws and public policies.”
