Jarrah says Cabinet to conclude budget talks Friday

Minister of Information, Jamal Jarrah, indicated that the Cabinet will conclude the discussion of the 2019 state budget on Friday, in remarks made to reporters following a session for the government at the Grand Serail on Wednesday.

“The discussion was calm, objective and bold; and there was no tension or altercation,” Jarrah said.

“Our sole goal is to slash budget deficit,” he underlined.

Jarrah added that Prime Minister Saad Hariri gave the minister 48 hours to study new proposals that were raised during the session.

“God willing, Friday’s session will be the last one pertaining to budget,” he said
